Nashville’s Sweet Tooth

In honor of the Southern Foodways Alliance’s 2016 Summer Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee here are two post about Music City. We all know about country music, the Parthenon, and hot chicken–but did you know Nashville has a serious sweet tooth? Cotton Candy was invented there at the turn of the last century (by a dentist!) more recently Goo Goo Cluster’s, one of America’s first candy bars, has made a major comeback by highlighting the treat’s Nashville roots.
